Welcome to the FantAutistic Skills Training (FAST)
Quality ABA Care
At FAST, we provide evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) delivered through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach. Our clinicians prioritize trust, emotional safety, and rapport, using the Hanley model of Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged (HRE) learning. We do not use any restrictive procedures or punishment-based strategies. Instead, we use gentle reinforcement, supportive teaching, and collaborative problem-solving.
If you are seeking a learning environment where communication, independence, and confidence can grow at a comfortable pace, you’re in the right place. We believe individuals are not defined by challenges—they are whole, capable people with strengths, preferences, and identities that matter.
For families of children diagnosed with autism or other developmental or mental health needs, we value caregiver involvement and empowerment. We coach parents and caregivers so that progress continues beyond sessions and becomes part of everyday life. Behavioral support is not about “fixing” someone. It’s about building skills that help create connection, autonomy, and meaningful experiences.
As part of our FantAutistic philosophy, we collaborate closely with medical, educational, and behavioral providers involved in your child’s care. Our COO is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, allowing us to integrate:
- Medication management
- Psychiatric support
- Psychological and developmental evaluation
- Support for co-occurring conditions
- Family therapy coordination
We aim to create a team that supports the whole person, not just one part of them.
About FantAutistic Skills Training
What is in a name?
Sometimes people ask — FantAutistic (pronounced “Faun-taw-stic”)? FantAutistic Skills Training (FAST)? Where did we come up with this?
It’s very intentional. In ABA, pairing is an essential part of rapport building and meaningful learning. Pairing connects two things together in ways that matter. We wanted our clients and families to know that they are not “just autistic” — they are FantAutistic. Autism is a neurotype, and like all neurotypes, it comes with unique strengths, perspectives, and challenges. Many influential thinkers, creators, and innovators throughout history have been autistic — from well-known scientists and artists to countless everyday community members who bring depth, creativity, and compassion to the world.
We also believe in respecting identity-first language for those who prefer it. Many of our clients and families identify as autistic or FantAutistic, rather than being described as “a person with autism.” We listen to and use the language they prefer. The name FantAutistic Skills Training reflects this person-centered approach.
The acronym FAST was also chosen with purpose. It represents our commitment to providing services efficiently and promptly — especially when it comes to psychiatric and therapeutic care, where waiting lists are often months long. Our CEO has seen clients wait extended periods for diagnosis, medication support, or mental health services. At FAST, we strive to provide psychiatric care within weeks and begin ABA services even sooner.
Our goal is not to “fix” or change who someone is — but to support them in developing skills, accessing resources, and living a life aligned with their values, strengths, and needs.
